If you know your Lat's from your Long's you'll soon see this trip covers the lot.We start by touring the Musandam Peninsula and then slowly but surely traverse Oman from North to South ending in Salalah. We stop in Muscat for 2 nights to appreciate what a truly unique city it is before visiting Wadi Bani Khalid, Jebel Shams, Wahiba Sands, Masirah Island and lot’s more.

This trip can be conducted either through the Empty Quarter via the Lost City of Ubar or via the coast visiting Masirah Island, Ad Duqm & Mirbat on our way to Lat. 16040’N and our destination of Salalah.

This trip starts in Dubai and concludes in Salalah before flying back to Dubai.

ITINERARY

Day 1.

The tour commences in Dubai @ 3pm. Location is the Premier Inn, Dubai International Airport.

The ‘Tour Brief’ will be conducted from 3.30pm onwards in the Premier Inn conference room, after which you are invited to join us for the tour ‘Welcome Dinner’ at the Bastikaya Cultural precinct in Dubai.

Day 2. - Distance covered ~300km -

We leave Dubai early to beat the border crossing blues & reach Khasab in good time to explore the interior of the Musandam peninsula.

Our riding today is orientated towards allowing everyone to become familiar with their bikes, how they handle and the riding conditions on the Arabian Peninsula.

Day 3. - Ferry from Khasab to Muscat –

Today we make our way to Khasab port to check-in @ 11am for our 6 hr ferry journey to Muscat arriving appx. 7pm. A meal is served on the ferry, however snacks such as fruit & nuts e.t.c. would also be wise to bring along with a good book or some form of entertainment. Upgrades to Business or VIP class are also available prior to departure. If you would like to upgrade please contact us for further details.  

Day 4. - Rest Day in Muscat -  

Whilst in Muscat, attractions to visit include the Royal Opera House of Oman (and if you would like to reserve a ticket for a performance please let us know), The Old Quarter, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and Mutrah Souq to name only a few.

One of the best ways to experience Muscat is on a ‘Big Bus’ tour or perhaps you would like to see a performance at the Royal Opera House Muscat                                              

Day 5. - Distance covered ~ 350 km’s -

This morning we head south from Muscat along the coast road to Bamah and Tiwi before lunch in Sur. After lunch we visit Wadi Bani Khalid before venturing into the Wahiba Sands and our overnight accommodation.

If riders are not entirely comfortable riding on sand, the option of transferring by 4WD to our overnight camp deep in the Wahiba Sands can be arranged.

Day 6. - Distance covered ~ 270 km’s -

We have the option of retracing our steps this morning out of the Wahiba Sands and make our way down the coast road to Masirah Island or we can continue thru the Wahiba Sands emerging finally at the village of Qihayd and onto the Masirah Island ferry.

Day 7. - Distance covered ~ 350km’s -

After exploring Masirah Island this morning we catch our ferry for the journey back to the mainland and onward to the Sugar Dunes of Al Khaluf.

Tonight we stay in Ash Shuayr

Day 8. - Distance covered ~ 650km’s -

Continuing on the coast road this morning we pass thru Al Jazir & continue onto our overnight stop of Mirbat.

Day 9. - Distance covered ~ 180 km's -

After a well-deserved rest & sleep in this morning we explore Mirbat more fully before making the short journey into Salalah.

Day 10. - Rest Day in Salalah -

Although today is programmed as a rest day, guests have the option of riding inland to visit the ‘Lost City of Ubar’, to take in the sights and sounds of Salalah at their leisure or head further south to Al Mughsayl & Dalkut.

Day 11. Tour concludes today with guests either continuing their stay in Salalah, or flying back to Dubai or Muscat

Please Note: Salalah and its surrounds as a destination, can in itself warrant 3-4 days minimum to explore everything it has to offer. It is our intention on this tour to only introduce you to the second largest city in Oman.

Accommodation is included tonight as part of the tour cost on a twin share basis.

$ 4980.00 USD per rider

$ 4100.00 USD per pillion

What’s included & what is not:

  • 11 nights’ accommodation (2 nights of which are in Dubai, the first and last nights)
  • Meet & Greet on arrival in Dubai and transfer on tour conclusion 
  • All border crossing fees e.g Oman Visa & re-entry into the UAE
  • Fully fuelled, serviced & maintained KTM 990 Adventure motorcycle
  • Meals except for lunch on the rest day in Muscat & Salalah
  • Economy class ferry ticket Khasab - Muscat. Upgrades are available and payable at the time of booking or no later than 48 hours before ferry departure
  • Entry to UNESCO heritage sites & tourist sites
  • Medical Costs are not covered. It is mandatory appropriate medical coverage/insurance is sought
  • All accommodation of a generally 3-4 star standard, based on a twin share basis
  • Flight from Salalah to Dubai or Muscat
  • Alcoholic beverages are not included
